One Statement Jacket, 3 Fabulous looks

What is a Fashion Stylist

Being a fashion stylist means being able to use clothes in different ways and on different people for different purposes with fabulous results. When I got my hands on this amazing mustard leather jacket with star patched sleeves and a classic boxy shape my brain lit up with ideas!

It is the kind of piece that could be bought on whim out of pure lust and sit in the wardrobe waiting to be worn for the exact reasons why you love it.

It stands out, it makes a statement, it’s an unusual colour and it has a retro vibe. It can be so hard to showcase fabulous fashion purchases or sometimes you can find one look that works, but struggle to assemble the piece another way. I’ve put together three totally different examples of how I have styled this amazing piece of fashion on myself and on model/blogger Amy Neville to inspire you to make bold fashion choices yourself!

Boho Babe

Flung casually over the shoulders of a neutral hued dress, this jacket makes the outfit slay!

Accessories are also really important to this outfit to convey the vibe effectively. Layered necklaces, wire framed sunglasses and a quirky handbag give Amy so many points of interest and opportunities to express her personality…

However, the soothing colour pallet keeps the look stylish rather than over powering.

Weekend Wear

I’ve chosen to load on the colour here and create a really playful weekend vibe. Don’t you love how the bag kinda matches my hair? But the star sleeves are the only print, letting them take centre stage.

The leg lengthening stripe down the jean paired with a heel elongates my body plus I still have a figure under the boxy jacket and straight fit jean thanks to this waist defining belt.

Fashion’s Darling

Prints are big news right now and you may have heard pros saying the key to smashing the print-on-print trend is to use complementary colours. This look is that concept in action 100%

Mustard, khaki, gold, brown, yellow and a dash of red (and ginger) make up one ‘tonal’ colour scheme. I’ve also used two different star prints and a third print with similarly spiky edges to make one bold outfit. You can tell I was feeling fab!
